WHO WE ARE
The Batshaw Youth and Family Centres Foundation is a registered charitable organization. The Foundation’s mission is to help break the cycle of neglect, abuse, and failure experienced by many children aged 0-18 years and their families.
The Foundation supports the clients of the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres, living on the island of Montreal, when public funds are not available.
Through different annual fundraising initiatives, the Foundation raises an average of $250,000 per year to fund programs of assistance offered to youth living with their own families, in foster care, in residential placement and transitioning to independent living.
The Foundation’s funds are designed to create an environment for youth to feel empowered and help pave the way for a brighter future.

Specialized Services
Scholarships
Education is a direct means to breaking the cycle of poverty. You can provide current and former Batshaw youth with the opportunity to receive post-secondary education or job skills training - and continue in their journey of perseverance.
Family Emergencies
Given the current pandemic, you can put groceries and emergency supplies in the homes of those who need it most. Basic needs are something most of us take for granted. By providing food, baby supplies, dental assistance, help paying hydro or phone bills, rent support, etc., you become instrumental in strengthening a parent's ability to keep their children safely at home.
Independent Living
Living on your own for the first time can be exciting, and scary. You can provide financial support to prepare youth in placement, nearing age 18, with little or no family support, to live on their own for the first time.
Camp Weredale
You can give children in Batshaw’s care the opportunity to enjoy a stimulating outdoor experience at this specialized summer camp, where they will connect with both nature and other youth; it is often a truly transformative experience.
Please contact Batshaw Youth and Family Centres Youth Protection Services, 24 hours a day / 7 days a week at 514-935-6196 to report a concern regarding a child/youth or to speak to someone about a problematic situation involving a child/youth.
