FAMILY EMERGENCY & PREVENTION
Many families receiving services from Batshaw Centres have financial and organizational problems. Batshaw Centres intervenes and gives emergency support if it is judged that it will strengthen the parent's ability to keep children safely at home. Financial support from the Foundation is used to provide basic needs for the family: electricity, food, rent, essential furniture and appliances etc. The money is not given directly to the client but is given to the social worker assigned to the family or directly to a supplier.
