MISSION STATEMENT

The Batshaw Youth and Family Centres Foundation, a non-profit corporation of concerned volunteers, concentrates its efforts on helping to break the cycle of neglect, abuse and failure experienced by many youth and their families.

The Foundation provides financial support, when public funds are not available, to youth and their families who are served by Batshaw Youth and Family Centres.

To this end, the Foundation directors encourage donations, raise funds and manage the Foundation assets so as to disburse revenue effectively and preserve capital, while maintaining an ongoing and updated awareness of issues related to vulnerable youth and their families.

All money raised through fund-raising, and all donations received are used for the direct benefit of youth through programs of assistance to those living with their own families, in foster care, in residential placement and in independent living.

The Foundation also serves children and their families by being the primary sponsor of Camp Weredale, in active partnership with the Weredale Foundation.
